this picture is named: The Mixture of Hearts.
It is a typical Singapore shopping mall, a hangout place of many housewives, where they have to do their daily groceries there; this includes all races and religion. on the first level, there is a japanese restaurant, two fast food restaurants, Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is a different culture in the 3 outlets, the customers are also different in genre and mindset. The second floor is a food court, food courts itself is a mixture of food in just one place itself, so it is a mix of likes and dislikes of people, therefore, the different likings and hearts that lunch there.

title of the picture: The Bustling Silence
As our usual impression of food courts and shopping malls are noisy, crowded and lively places, especialy hawker centres and food courts. but, what that actually make up the noisiness is just within table talks. between table to table, its actually silence, a lot of silence, just that the overall noise that is present is a lot more than the silence is within. The food court, is actually a rather lonely place, in that sense. The second idea of The Bustling Silence is between noisy shopping centres and the “countryside”, where Nature’s peace is represented by the leaves of the tree that frame up the building. It forms a sense of mental contrast, thus, The Bustling Silence.

Title of the picture: Hope
“Hope” is chosen as the title because of the light spilling into the slightly darker corridor from the room, its like having a new chance all together. There used to be proverb that says: “When Heaven closes one of your doors, He’d open another window for you.” This is to encourage people to stand up from their failures, its like having a whole new world behind this door.

Title of the picture: Unknown
The wire in the picture, largely is shown in light, but, there is a part that is not in light, which makes it quite unnoticeable and hidden. in the dark, walking along this wire must be very careful, in case tripping occurs. Its like the future, the end of the world: we can predict what is likely to happen during then, but we never know when it would come. And even if we can predict, it is only what is likely to happen, it may not be the case. In this picture, when people walk, they can’t see the wire. They can try to predict where the wire is, and make all sorts of preventive measures against it, but in thw dark, one won’t know whether he is even close to the wire. it is just a whole lot of changes and unknowns that we’d have to face in life. And the Title is “Unknown”, not that the title is unknown for now.(:

Title of the picture: In 20 years time
I have always liked singing since young, and sing almost every moment of my life. At times when I couldn’t sing, at least, there were lots of melodies and songs running through my head. Recently, I got a job at The Ark Cafe, which was to be their probation singer for three months. I loved singing and almost jumped for joy when I got to know this. But, in my head, I know that I cannot make singing my ultimate career, because in the outside world its just far more brutal than what we ever think. So, in my course, Diploma in Music and Audio Technology, I aspire to be a sound engineer. Thats why this picture is titled “In 20 years time” because I may be singing like that in a studio in 20 years time for charity, or other “may be”s. This photo shows what I love, I like and what I am.
